🧰 Gumdum Add-Ons

Gumdum add-ons are Bedrock-first gameplay modules built for the Gumdum Hardcore and SMP servers.

They share a familiar launcher pattern through the Gumdum Realm Book, but each add-on keeps its own gameplay responsibility. One book, several tools, considerably fewer mystery buttons. πŸ“–

Add-On Directory

Add-On Server What It Does Current Posture
πŸ’€ Hardcore Hardcore One-life seasons, spectator-after-death flow, Spawn Sanctuary, standings, and community awards Active add-on lane
🏑 Land Claim SMP Player-owned claim areas, trusted players, and common anti-grief protection Alpha, fresh-world proof still required
πŸͺ¦ Gravesite SMP Chest-and-marker death recovery for non-Hardcore survival worlds Alpha, recovery remains best-effort
🌎 SMP Add-On Set SMP The collection of non-Hardcore Gumdum add-ons installed together on the SMP server Server bundle, not one standalone add-on

Shared Design Rules

  • Core gameplay remains local-world-first and offline-capable.
  • Add-ons should work independently whenever practical.
  • Website, API, database, Discord, and DNS services must not become required for core gameplay.
  • No pay-to-win power, gambling, loot boxes, or paid recovery.
  • Generated .mcaddon packages are build artifacts and are not committed to the repository.
  • A successful build proves packaging, not Minecraft gameplay. Bedrock always gets the final vote, because Bedrock enjoys paperwork. πŸ“

Gumdum Realm Book

The shared player path is generally:

Open Gumdum Realm Book
β†’ Gumdum Add-Ons
β†’ Choose an installed module
β†’ Open that module’s own menu

The book is a launcher, not a gameplay overlord. Each add-on owns its own data and rules.

Server Placement

Server Add-On Rule
Hardcore Install Gumdum Hardcore only
SMP Install the non-Hardcore Gumdum add-ons selected for the SMP world

Documentation Status Words

Label Meaning
Implemented Present in current repository source
Manually validated Confirmed during a recorded Bedrock test
Validation required Implemented or documented, but still needs a fresh-world Bedrock test
Future Planned direction, not active player behavior

🧠 Gumdum wisdom: If a feature exists in a roadmap but not in Minecraft, it is still a very organized wish.
