๐Ÿก Gumdum Land Claim

Gumdum Land Claim is the SMP protection add-on for reserving player build areas, managing trusted players, and blocking common grief behavior.

It runs locally inside the Bedrock world and does not require the website, API, Discord, DNS, or a database to protect claims.

๐Ÿงฑ Your castle took hours to build. The wandering bucket enthusiast gets no vote.

Claiming Land

Open the Realm Book and follow:

Gumdum Realm Book
โ†’ Gumdum Add-Ons
โ†’ Land Claims
โ†’ Claim Land
โ†’ Choose a size
โ†’ Review the yellow outline
โ†’ Confirm Claim

Claims are centered on your current X/Z position in the current dimension.

Size Protected Area
Small 16 ร— 16
Medium 32 ร— 32
Large 64 ร— 64

The claim protects the X/Z column in that dimension.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Trusted Players

Claim owners can manage trust through:

Land Claims
โ†’ My Claims
โ†’ Manage Claim
โ†’ Trusted Players

Trusted players may normally:

  • Build and break blocks
  • Interact with protected blocks
  • Use safe items inside that claim

Trust is claim-specific. Trusted players do not automatically gain permission to delete the claim or manage its trust list.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Protection Coverage

Where the matching Bedrock Script API event is available, Land Claim protects common actions such as:

  • Block breaking and placing by untrusted players
  • Container access
  • Door, gate, redstone, bed, bell, respawn, and workstation-style interaction
  • Common grief-item use inside or near claims
  • Display and entity interactions where supported
  • Explosion damage to claimed blocks
  • Piston activity near claim borders where supported
  • Unsafe lava, fire, and TNT blocks near active players in protected claims

Commonly blocked tools include buckets, lava buckets, water buckets, powder-snow buckets, flint and steel, fire charges, TNT, end crystals, and spawn eggs.

โš ๏ธ Honest Alpha wording: Land Claim protects common build interactions where Bedrock Script API events allow it.

No Alpha add-on should promise perfect prevention of every fluid, fire, piston, or entity edge case. Bedrock occasionally discovers new ways to turn a tidy rule into an interpretive dance.

โš™๏ธ Admin Tools

The Admin / Settings menu is visible from the Gumdum Add-Ons launcher, but current Alpha access requires:

gumdum.admin

Admin tools include:

  • Claim Database Summary
  • Inspect Claims Near Me
  • Owner / Trusted Inspector
  • Debug Export Readout
  • Reset Claim Database
  • Reissue Realm Book

Resetting the local claim database requires the exact phrase:

RESET LAND CLAIMS

First-admin confirmation and recovery are planned but are not currently implemented.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Economy Posture

Land Claim reserves future Town Hall compatibility fields, but currently:

Setting Value
Realm Marks cost 0
Realm Marks charged No
Pay-to-win power None

๐ŸŒ Future Website Map

A future website map may display public-safe claim ownership and boundaries through approved JSON export and Laravel import paths.

Local world data remains the gameplay authority. If website synchronization ever fails:

  • The local claim still succeeds
  • Protection continues
  • Website data may simply lag behind

Current Limits

  • Realm Book only
  • No chat commands
  • Fresh-world Bedrock proof is still required for the current Alpha target
  • Some fluid, fire, piston, and entity edge cases depend on Bedrock event coverage
  • No external service is required for local protection
