Privacy Policy
This Policy explains what player information Gumdum uses, why we use it, and the choices available to you when you use Gumdum.com and our Minecraft communities.
1. Information we use
We use information needed to run the website and community. Depending on the features you choose, this may include:
- Microsoft sign-in information, such as your Microsoft account identifier, display name, and email address when Microsoft provides it.
- Profile information you choose to add, such as a Minecraft gamertag, bio, profile image, and profile links.
- Membership and server-access information, including your chosen server, Minecraft gamertag, Xbox user ID, and login or verification records.
- Content you choose to post, including forum posts, replies, attachments, and newsletter preferences.
- Technical information needed to operate and secure the site, such as session data and standard server logs.
2. How we use information
We use player information to provide sign-in, profiles, applications, server access, account verification, community communication, newsletters you choose to receive, moderation, security, troubleshooting, and required records. We also use it to display the public player, forum, and community information that you choose to make public through available privacy controls.
3. When information is shared
Public community spaces can show information that is intended to be public, such as your public profile, player name, approved public gameplay history, forum posts, or attachments. Check your profile visibility settings before sharing information.
We may share limited information with service providers that help operate connected services, such as Microsoft sign-in, Minecraft or Xbox services, email delivery, hosting, and Discord. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information when needed to protect players, prevent abuse, or comply with a legal obligation.
4. Your choices
You can update profile details and available public-visibility choices from your Gumdum profile. You can change newsletter preferences or unsubscribe using the controls included with the newsletter.
To ask about access, correction, deletion, or another privacy concern, contact Gumdum support through Discord. We may need to confirm that a request is connected to your account before acting on it, and some information may need to be kept for security, moderation, or legal reasons.
5. Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including community operation, security, moderation, recordkeeping, and legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
6. Adults-only community
Gumdum is for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly offer the community to people under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information to Gumdum, please contact us so we can review the report.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the community or its services change. The current version will be posted here with a new effective date.
