Set the center block

Everything in town measures from one block: the center of the fountain.

How to build it

  1. Stand on the ground at X -40, Z 95. Your Y reading there should be 64.
  2. Swap the ground block under you for a marker block so you can find it again. It becomes Chiseled Stone Bricks in step 2.
  3. Put a sign next to it with the numbers, so the other founders know where the middle of town is.

Keep one ground level. Anywhere you build, standing on finished ground should read the same Y 64. If a patch reads higher, dig it down a block; lower, fill it.
