Gumdum Hardcore Is Officially Open
The July 2026 Hardcore season is live. The gate is open, the creepers are clocked in, and the first Gumdum Hardcore season has begun with a beautifully dangerous clean slate.

That means nobody has died yet, which is either a heroic survival record or proof that everyone is still standing outside the lava pit reading the instructions. Either way, we’ll take it.
What launched this week
This week was a big one for Gumdum Hardcore and SMP. The site received new public navigation and community polish, Hardcore access requests now support Microsoft login, and the approval flow is being tightened so players can apply, get reviewed, and move toward the allow-list without Gumdum needing to wrestle the website like an angry skeleton in chainmail.
The Hardcore access system now supports one-click approval and decline emails, safer link handling, friendly error pages instead of plain white mystery screens, and a cleaner admin workflow. The public News area is also now editable from the site admin account, which means updates like this one can finally live where players will actually see them.
Leaderboard and awards
The leaderboard system is being connected today. Once it updates, the Hardcore pages will begin showing season progress, deaths, survival stats, awards, and the kind of questionable glory that comes from surviving one more night with three hearts and misplaced confidence.
